As bright as sunlight

While near the pier at Hermosa Beach, I found that it was earlier to work with the baby when having David and his wife block the sun and create shade for their son, who wasn’t accustomed to the bright, direct sunlight. The rainstorm had moved on, but the winds blew stronger than we would’ve liked. Thanks to the clear sky, the ocean couldn’t be any bluer. Catalina Island loomed so close as if it were only a few miles away, when it was actually about 33 miles away. And their smiles were as bright as the sunlight.
