Can’t wait to go back
ORTEGA FALLS
Ortega Falls
One of the places this past weekend that I wanted to check out was Ortega Falls. Since we have had a very wet winter, and since it is still very early in the season, it was naturally expected to be flowing quite nicely.
When I did a collaboration with a model some time in 2017, however, it was bone dry. Of course, it was then also expected to be that dry.
Now what a difference a plenty of rain made this winter. The local mountains are clad with snow, the lakes are full of water and the creeks are flowing nicely.
My friend and I started out the day rather late, so when we got there, it was full of people, which wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it truly tested my patience while waiting for the waterfalls to be cleared.
The sun came in and out of the clouds, so I had to wait and made sure that my shots weren’t overexposed. I took shots without me in it, but in the end I chose a shot with me in it to share, which adds an extra element to the scene.
Can’t wait to go back.
