QUADRA AND BIDENT MOUNTAINS, MT. BELL, CONSOLATION LAKES

After less than 2 miles and just under 500 feet elevation gain from Moraine Lake, I arrived at the desolate and yet beautiful Consolation Lakes. The array of magnificent mountains came into view — Quadra and Bident Mountains on the right, the slopes of Panorama Ridge on the left, and Mt. Bell in the far distance. The first two are sitting on the border of Alberta and British Columbia on the Continental Divide. The rain clouds were slowly moving in while I completely lost myself in the sublime. After snapping a few more shots, I decided to head back.
