Great Western Divide came into view
JMT DAY 29 — VIEW OF GREAT WESTERN DIVIDE FROM GUITAR LAKE
View of Great Western Divide from Guitar Lake
When we arrived at Guitar Lake, it was relatively early, so we took a nice break here before continuing our journey. It was quite windy at the lake, so we dropped our packs and found a huge boulder at the end of the lake to shelter in.
The Great Western Divide came into view from this farthest end of the lake from the main trail, and it was the place where we enjoyed ourselves while munching on snacks and watching the clouds rolling above the crest. What a magnificent sight it was.
Our destination for the day was Hitchcock Lakes, and I couldn’t wait to get there.
