JMT DAY 24 — MOONRISE AT KEARSARGE LAKES
Moonrise at Kearsarge Lakes
The inevitable moment of the night eventually arrived. The moon rose, and it started casting its glorious colors on Kearsarge Pinnacles.
Everything started emerging from shadows and coming into focus. The pinnacles, crevices, shores dotted with trees. The reflection of the thousands and thousands of stars in the water slowly gave way to the shallow depth of the lake.
It also meant that the Milky Way was slowly fading. Soon it would be completely washed off. Till then I just simply let such a cosmic moment of solitude to last as long as it did.
Before I’d be completely washed off in the bright moonlight.
