Light breeze gently skimming over water
TENAYA LAKE
Next morning we got up early and headed to Sunrise Lakes Trailhead, located near the southwest corner of Tenaya Lake. The cool morning air persisted as we began our short walk to the lake. Usually I visited Tenaya Lake from the other side of the lake, so standing there definitely granted me a fresh perspective on the area, especially the view of the lake half enclosed with Polly Dome (on the left) and Tenaya Peak and its ridgeline. While enjoying the light breeze gently skimming over the water, we caught the slopes of Polly Dome start glowing in orange hue. It was one of those early morning moments where I didn’t want it to end. But, of course, it was time for us to get moving.
