Piercing through crooked obelisk of smoke seeming defying gravity
CAMPFIRE AT TUOLUMNE MEADOWS CAMPGROUND
We were back at Tuolumne Meadows Campground, where we were camping. It was Sunday, so many campers packed up their stuff and left. For us it was a slow morning and early afternoon before our impending sunset hike. Our neighbor campers offered us firewood which they no longer needed before leaving. We started fire because we figured that it would be real dark by the time we were back. As the fire was abating, the smoke slowly oozed out of the pit and rose. A gentle and yet persistent breeze swayed the smoke in its unpredictable pulses, and sometimes in my direction, blurred my vision. Then, the sun started played along. Its sprinkled rays were piercing through the crooked obelisk of smoke seemingly defying gravity.
