Slowly creeping through me
JMT DAY 23 — SUNRISE AT SAWMILL PASS JUNCTION
Sunrise at Sawmill Pass Junction
I wasn’t going to post this but changed my mind. I am such a sucker for Earth’s Shadow….
While one of the cameras was pointing at Acrodectes Peak and the crest, I had the other camera pointed at the valley through which Woods Creek ran. It was the valley that we were going to hike down till the creek met South Fork, which was where we were going to camp after losing over 1,200 feet.
Then, Earth’s Shadow appeared. One of my favorite moments of the day.
And the moon was setting. It was still too high to be situated in the middle of the shadow, but nonetheless, it was just pleasing to the eye. Then, I felt such profound calmness slowly creeping through me….
