What beautiful afternoon to keep entire lake to ourselves
TENAYA LAKE
The warm and dry heat under the cloudless sun lured us back to Tenaya Lake. Our heated, slightly abused toes much needed a break. I didn’t hesitate for a bit and jumped right in. Getting my feet wet in the water in a perfect temperature was a well deserved treat. This side of the lake was surprisingly shallow, and it was at least 30 feet out in the lake to reach the point where our waists were fully immersed. And then I swam. The granite Polly Dome looked more prominent than earlier at sunrise. What a beautiful afternoon to keep the entire lake to ourselves. The wind started picking up when we reached the island of rocks. It was time to get out of the water and dry ourselves up at the beach.
