When Milky Way and Heavens align…
THE MILKY WAY AND HEAVENS PEAK
As the night got later, the Milky Way rose higher and more vertically. And then something that I would only imagine to see in the movies. Our galaxy and Heavens Peak aligned. I don’t know how often this was seen throughout the year, particularly from the Loop or around this area, but I felt quite lucky to catch this sight then. It wasn’t like I tried to frame the Milky Way with something in the foreground, such as a house or a tree. That’s easy. You just move to left or right to frame them. After a few minutes, they were off. It was time to wrap up.
